ModBuddy doesn't require an account.
Accounts (optional): if you create an account we save your username, your password (scrambled with a one-way hash, so even we can't read it), your email if you give one, and the car and mods you pick. Builds are private unless you tick "Share this build"; shared builds show your username, car and mods. A cookie keeps you signed in. You can delete your account any time from your account page.
Suggestions and votes: if you suggest a fix, we save what you write, the guide and car it's about, and the name and email you choose to give (both optional). Your name is shown publicly only if your suggestion is approved. Your email is never shown and is only used if we have a question about your suggestion. For thumbs up/down votes we save the vote and any comment. To limit spam we keep a scrambled code made from your IP address that changes daily and can't be turned back into your IP. Email us to have a suggestion deleted.
Your build list is saved only in your own browser on your device. We never see it, and clearing your browser data deletes it.
Hosting: like any website, our hosting provider may keep basic technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site secure and running.
If we add analytics, ads or affiliate links in the future, we'll update this page to explain what they collect.
