About ModBuddy

ModBuddy started in a home garage with an RX-8 and a simple frustration: the info you need before starting a mod is scattered across forums, old threads, videos and PDFs.

So we put it in one place. Pick your car and see each common mod's estimated horsepower, cost, difficulty, time, tools and steps, so you know what you're getting into before you buy parts.

How we write the guides

• We stick to common, well-known mods for each car.
• Horsepower numbers are conservative estimates based on typical results, not guarantees.
• Steps are overviews in plain language. For exact procedures and torque specs, we point you to your factory service manual and the part's instructions.
• When a job is risky or needs special tools, we say so and suggest a shop.
